Carr Charges Cobb County Defense Attorney with Pandering and Sexual Battery

COBB COUNTY, GA – Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr today announced that his office has filed a formal accusation in Cobb County charging Roger L. Curry, 77, with Pandering and Sexual Battery. Curry, who is an attorney with Roger L. Curry, P.C. in Marietta, is alleged to have solicited sexual acts from a client. 

“These are serious allegations that will not be tolerated, no matter who is involved,” said Attorney General Chris Carr. “We’re proud to have worked with the GBI on this case, and we will ensure those responsible are held fully accountable for their actions.”

This case was investigated by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s (GBI) Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT) Unit.  

“Our Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT) Unit works closely with our local, state, and federal partners to investigate human trafficking and protect victims from further exploitation,” said GBI Director Chris Hosey. “Undercover operations are a critical tool in these investigations, helping us expose those who abuse positions of trust and exploit vulnerable individuals. We will continue to pursue these offenders and hold them accountable.”

Cobb County Accusation 

On Aug. 28, 2026, Carr’s Prosecution Division filed an accusation* in Cobb County Superior Court, charging Curry with the following: 

• 3 counts of Pandering 
• 1 count of Sexual Battery 

Curry was taken into custody by the GBI on April 29, 2026. 

No further information about the investigation or the accusation may be released at this time by the Attorney General’s Office.
