ATLANTA, GA – Attorney General Chris Carr today issued the following statements regarding Governor Brian Kemp’s appointment of The Honorable Verda Colvin to serve as a justice on the Supreme Court of Georgia and The Honorable Andrew Pinson to serve as a judge on the Court of Appeals of Georgia.

“On behalf of the Office of the Attorney General, we want to congratulate Judge Verda Colvin for being appointed to serve on our state’s highest court,” said Attorney General Chris Carr. “Judge Colvin will take with her to the bench a passion for our justice system and the rule of law as well as a wealth of experience. We wish her well as she begins her service on the Supreme Court of Georgia.”
