Attorney General Sam Olens today released the following statement on the Fifth Circuit Court’s ruling in the case of the Deferred Action for Parental Accountability program:

“The Fifth Circuit’s decision is a clear victory for the rule of law. President Obama tried to evade the Constitution’s requirement that he work with Congress to develop and pass needed immigration reforms. But the court’s decision demonstrates that our nation’s laws, and the Constitution, must be followed,” said Attorney General Sam Olens.

Georgia is part of a 26-state bipartisan coalition fighting the president’s attempt to unilaterally grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. Joining Georgia in the lawsuit are: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
