On June 22, 2012, a Fulton County Grand Jury indicted Keshorna Miller, a former employee of Parkview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Atlanta, for stealing money from residents.

Parkview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a Medicaid provider serving elderly residents living with age related diseases, including cognitive diseases. Miller was employed there as a patient account clerk, which meant that she oversaw residents’ monetary funds. Over the course of nearly a year, August 2009 through May 2010, she stole over $5000.00 of residents’ personal funds.

Miller is charged with one count of Theft by Taking, (O.C.G.A. §§ 16-8-2, 16-8-12 (a) (3)), a felony punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment.

Assistant Attorney General Henry A. Hibbert is prosecuting the case on behalf of the State of Georgia. The case was investigated Investigator Johnny Brooks, Investigative Auditor Judy Cooper and Criminal Intelligence Analyst Zwella Boyd, all of the Georgia Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, a unit of the Georgia Attorney General’s Office.
