Attorney General Sam Olens Commends House Vote to Crack Down on Sex Trafficking in Georgia
Attorney General Sam Olens made the following statement on sex trafficking legislation, HB 200, which passed the House today on a vote of 168-1:
“I applaud the House of Representatives for their overwhelming bipartisan support of HB 200, which will enable law enforcement to address the growing problem of sex trafficking in our state,” said Olens. “I greatly appreciate Representative Ed Lindsey’s leadership on the drafting and passage of this bill in the House. This critical legislation incorporates best practices for our state and toughens penalties for offenders so that the punishment fits the crime.”
