ATTORNEY GENERAL REVISES LIST OF STATES ENTITLED TO GEORGIA'S FIREARM LICENSE RECIPROCITY
In 1997 the Attorney General issued a formal opinion advising which states at that time were entitled to reciprocity. 1997 Op. Att'y Gen. No. 97-27. Since that time, however, Mississippi officials have advised Georgia that Mississippi can no longer participate. Georgia law therefore requires that recognition of Mississippi's firearms licenses by the State of Georgia be withdrawn.
The State of Tennessee has now determined that it will honor Georgia firearms licenses. Therefore, effective February 1, 1998, Georgia will recognize firearms licenses issued by Tennessee.
With these revisions, Georgia now reciprocates in recognizing firearms licenses with the following states:
Idaho Michigan New Hampshire Tennessee Texas
