ATLANTA, GA –The Office of the Attorney General recently joined a 14-state coalition to defend President Donald Trump’s “1-in 2-out” Executive Order to reduce regulation.

“I commend President Trump for using his executive authority to conduct a review of agency rulemakings and to examine the costs and the effects of regulations on state and local governments,” said Attorney General Chris Carr. “This action is critical because the long-term consequences of federal regulatory overreach are largely borne by the States and their citizens. We will continue to advocate for relief from burdensome overregulation, and we appreciate President Trump’s leadership in addressing this issue.”

13 states also signed the amicus brief which was filed in the United States District Court for The District of Columbia: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
