ATLANTA, GA – The lawfully ordered execution of Donnie Cleveland Lance for the 1997 murders of Sabrina “Joy” Lance and Dwight “Butch” Wood, Jr. was carried out this evening at 9:05 p.m. at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Center in Jackson, Georgia. The sentence was carried out after the United States Supreme Court denied Lance’s request for a stay of execution.
