Senate Passes HB 200 Combating Sex Trafficking
Attorney General Sam Olens made the following statement upon passage of HB 200, the sex trafficking bill, today:
Today the Senate took a significant step towards protecting the many victims of sex trafficking across Georgia by passing HB 200, Representative Edward Lindsey's sex trafficking legislation. For too long, sex traffickers have received only a slap on the wrist for their unconscionable crimes. This bill gives law enforcement the tools they need to properly address this terrible abuse. I want to thank Senator Renee Unterman for shepherding this important bill through the Senate, and I appreciate the Legislature's overwhelming support of this crucial legislation.
