Gwendolyn Stokes pled guilty today before Judge Lamar Sizemore in Peach County Superior Court to one count of Theft and three counts of False Statements. Stokes was sentenced to two years imprisonment to be followed by eight years of probation.

While working as a temporary employee at Fort Valley State University, Stokes falsified her time sheets and forged her supervisor’s signature, resulting in a theft of $5,728 from Fort Valley.

While on probation, Stokes is to repay Fort Valley State University $5,728 in restitution and perform 200 hours community service. The case was prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Kim Schwartz and was investigated by Captain Williams of Fort Valley State University.
