OPERATIONS MANAGER

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day activities associated with the mailroom, records, supplies, tenant and Capitol Hill alerts.  Also, work order requests for building maintenance.  They will ensure that the Department is running smooth with efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of our external and internal customers.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Team Leadership Experience – Successful operations supervisor candidates have demonstrated experience in leading a team. 
  • Administrative Management – Familiar with managing the administrative aspects of a team and knows how to analyze performance.
  • Project Management – Operations supervisors know how projects start and end, and they know how to ensure projects are completed successfully and in a timely manner.
  • Interpersonal Communication Skills – As a team manager, operations manager communicates their desires and feedback in an efficient way in the form of verbal and written communication.
  • Problem-Solving Skills – Operations supervisors are often presented with problems and expected to fix them using solutions of their own making.  As such, successful candidates should be comfortable with thinking of creative solutions to both simple and difficult problems.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university OR Associates degree AND Two years of related experience in management and/or mailroom.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants who possess one or more of the following:

  1. Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and customer service skills,
  2. Three or more years of project management experience,
  3. Documented property asset management system experience.
