Kara Richardson

Communications Director

In her role as Communications Director, Kara Richardson oversees all internal and external communications for the Office of the Attorney General. She also serves as the office’s primary contact to facilitate media inquiries and matters.

Before joining the Office of the Attorney General in October 2021, Kara was the External Affairs Coordinator for the Office of the President at Kennesaw State University (KSU). In this capacity, she coordinated and supported government relations and communications efforts on behalf of the President and the university.

Prior to her position with KSU, Kara served as Communications Specialist for Governor Nathan Deal. Working alongside other members of the communications staff, she planned, prioritized and implemented internal and external communication campaigns and strategies.

Kara earned a bachelor’s degree in English from KSU in 2016.
