Job Summary:

Position works within the Investigations Division of the Department of Law, Consumer Protection Division (CPD).  The Division investigates allegations of unfair or deceptive practices involving consumer transactions and office supply transactions, allegations of fraud involving telemarketing, internet or home repair transactions, allegations of price gouging during a declared state of emergency, and allegations of unlawful conduct involving debt adjustment services, credit repair, advance fee loans, and other such issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.  Must hold active Georgia Driver’s License and must be able to travel as required by the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference may be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the Minimum Qualifications, possess one or more of the following: 

Intermediate-level experience analyzing documents and/or data; intermediate-level experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Access or database applications performing word processing, internet searches, data collection and entry, spreadsheet, and report generation functions; composing written correspondence effectively using correct grammar and spelling; communicating information orally tactfully and professionally.
