Georgia has a “Lemon Law,” found at O.C.G.A. Section 10-1-780, et seq.  The Lemon Law covers new motor vehicles, light trucks, and the self-propelled portion of recreational vehicles.  If you have a vehicle that (i) falls into one of these categories, (ii) has a substantial defect that was reported to the dealer or manufacturer within the first year or 12,000 miles of operation of the vehicle, whichever occurs first, and (iii) you are unable to resolve the issue, then you should contact the Governor’s Office of Consumer Protection
