Assistant Attorney General - Human Trafficking Prosecutor
This position will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the Attorney General’s new Human Trafficking Section. This position will maintain a prosecution case load. This position will work with an investigator, analyst, victim advocate and administrative assistant, under the direction of the Human Trafficking Section Chief. The Section will be responsible for the investigation and prosecution of human trafficking cases under Georgia’s human trafficking laws, with a focus on the prosecution of domestic minor sex trafficking.
Graduation from an accredited law school and Member of the Georgia Bar; 2 or more years of prosecution experience.
Preference will be given to applicants who possess one or more items below:
- Experience in the prosecution of human trafficking or crimes involving the victimization of women and children.
- Demonstrate strong legal research and writing skills and possess trial experience.
- Experience interviewing child sexual abuse victims and/or who are certified in ChildFirst Forensic Interviewing Protocol.
