Administrative Generalist - Consumer Protection Division

Job Summary

This position works in the Consumer Protection Division of the Georgia Department of Law.  This Division is the state government entity charged with protecting consumers from unfair and deceptive practices. 

Provides reception responsibilities for CPD’s front desk and redirects incoming calls on main administrative phone lines; generates letters and other documents; assists HR/purchasing officer w/responsibilities, including time keeping management, work order requests, surplus, and procurement; maintains office supplies; identifies re-order needs; and performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of experience performing general clerical tasks, OR One year of vocational/technical school or college education and two years of clerical experience,  OR  Two years from a technical/vocational school or accredited college or university and one year of clerical experience.  Strong organizational skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants who possess one or more of the items below:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; experience working in an office environment (this experience may have been in the form of an internship); experience using Microsoft, including Word and Outlook; experience filing-both alphabetical and numerical sorting; experience entering information in a database.
