Attorney General Olens to Announce Major Milestone for Georgia Legal Food Frenzy

What: | The results and winners of the third annual Georgia Legal Food Frenzy will be announced, as well as a major milestone for the competition. The Legal Food Frenzy is a food and fund drive among the Georgia legal community benefitting the state’s seven regional food banks. This year’s winners hail from cities and towns across Georgia. A recent report by Feeding America, the largest hunger-relief charity in the United States, ranked Georgia fourth in the nation for childhood hunger and found that 28.1% of Georgia children are food insecure. The food and funds donated through the Legal Food Frenzy will help fight hunger in Georgia. Over the past two years, the legal community has generously donated the equivalent of 1.4 million pounds of food. This year, 277 law firms and legal organizations across Georgia, representing over 16,000 employees participated in the competition. |
