From May 2018 through April 2020, Peggy served as Leader of the Environmental and Natural Resources Section, where she worked for 19 years and represented a number of state agencies, including the Environmental Protection Division, the Georgia Department of Agriculture, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, and the Coastal Resource Division, among others. 

Prior to joining the Office of the Attorney General in 2000, she gained extensive trial experience as an officer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where she served for nine years on active duty and 12 years in the Army Reserve. Peggy retired from the Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2012.

She earned a B.S. from Louisiana State University in 1983 and her J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans in 1990.
