Duties & Responsibilities
The Medicaid Fraud Control Unit has a current opening for an Assistant Attorney General for its CIVIL TEAM. Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to: The participation as a member of a multidisciplinary team to investigate alleged cases of Medicaid fraud; filing False Medicaid Claims Actions against providers in the Georgia Medicaid program; contribution to multi-state investigations and litigation of qui tam cases against national providers; and collaboration with the U.S. Attorney’s Office to investigate and litigate qui tam cases.
Minimum Training & Experience
Member of the Georgia Bar AND graduation from an accredited law school with (four) 4 OR MORE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE; two (2) years of CIVIL LITIGATION experience preferred. Preferred applicants also exhibit strong research and writing skills, can effectively coordinate complex multistate litigation, and demonstrate superior time/case management attributes. Experience in healthcare law (specifically False Claims Act) is a plus. Preference will be given to applicants with additional years of experience in civil litigation, including handling of subpoenas and discovery obligations, document review, and motions practice.
